RSG Client Advisory Council Update
By Ken Ancona, RSG Managing Director
The RSG Client Advisory Council is composed of a maximum of eight clients, with two clients appointed from each of the four RSG service centers (Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco). At our option, we include a broker or consultant in order to expand the perspective of the Council. Membership is purely voluntary; members serve a two-year term with the option of a succeeding two-year term. Meetings are limited to 90 minutes. Minutes of the Council meetings are on file for any RSG client to review; please contact your RSG account manager.
Since our last newsletter, the Council met in February at RSG's Partners Conference in Point Clear, Alabama, and in June through a conference call. Items that were discussed included:
- 2008 financial results
- Completion of client migrations to Oracle®
- Implementation of new billing system
- Discussion on adjusting within a severe economic downturn
- Project RWeb: Web application development status
- Deployment of Web version of Oracle® Discoverer
- Compilation and release of Library of Custom Items
- Standardization of our Statement of Work
- Discussion and position regarding SCHIP reporting
- Future deployment of e-mail encryption using Zix
The current Council members are Tom Dolan (Houston Independent School District), Larry Jenchel (Sears), Sean McDaniel (Veolia), Larry Pierce (Hylant), Tabitha Prestler (ARAMARK), Peter Rosiere (Sodexo), and Kelly Wasilewski (Hyatt). They have done a marvelous job coordinating their time to participate and provide thoughtful discussion and recommendations. Current members are serving the second half of their term; RSG senior management staff will be making recommendations by the end of the third quarter for client candidates for the upcoming 2010-2011 Council term.
RSG is very appreciative of the Council's input, and we look forward to working with those members who renew their terms and with the Council's new members. The results we derive from our open discussions are mutually beneficial.
