DONE! That is the status of our Oracle® migration project, which converted 360 client implementations from our Sigma EncoreSM 3.x version to our Oracle®-powered 4.x version. Except for our Broadspire Note version, which we were able to migrate in groups, we had 179 custom Sigma EncoreSM clients that needed to be migrated, one by one. You know that, because you were involved in specification review and testing. The overall work effort was mind-boggling, with several hundred load programs developed, several thousand custom reports written, millions of lines of code composed, a hundred million data transactions converted, and millions of valuable capital invested.
What you see when you log into Sigma EncoreSM is only the tip of the iceberg; a majority of the new development focused on utilities, data structure, and back end processing. What you will benefit from on the front end will vary dependent on how you use Sigma EncoreSM. A majority of our customers have said our template report features and the integration of Oracle® Discoverer business intelligence tool was at the top of their list.
Our Oracle® foundation fulfills many objectives. Primarily, it is our flexible relational database management system, which supports your complex analytical needs today and your data modeling, as well as your data integration needs, of the future. We have taken the opportunity to stay ahead of SAS70 demands by incorporating even tighter controls. To drive costs out of our service delivery, we have standardized and automated several processes that improve efficiency, effectiveness and being responsive.
And the greatest benefit is that our Oracle®-based RMIS system was delivered to you at no additional cost. In today’s economic climate, that is simply very good news.
