As senior vice president, managing director of Risk Sciences Group, Brenda Rarick is responsible for a continued, long-term risk management information system (RMIS) strategy. Her focus is on innovative technology, effective analytics and easy-to-use applications that help clients control their overall cost of risk.
Rarick has 20 years of experience and has led a number of revenue-increasing initiatives, including implementation of new systems and process re-engineering, and was primarily responsible for overseeing high-profile projects throughout the company to ensure all are completed within time and budgetary restraints.
Before joining Broadspire, Rarick spent five years in the banking industry in various supervisory and officer-level positions with financial institutions in Michigan and Illinois. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration and corporate finance from Western Michigan University.

Kenneth C. Ancona
Vice President, Business Development

Ken is vice president and head of business development for Risk Sciences Group. He is responsible for developing new business and marketing to RSG's existing client community the software and services offered by RSG as a premier vendor of independent risk management information solutions.
He began his career with Crawford & Company in 1992 as a regional sales manager for RSG. In March 1997, he was named national sales manager and then led RSG's operations from 2005-2009. Prior to joining RSG, Ken had 15 years experience with selling and supporting healthcare financial information systems.
Ken holds a bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Business Administration from Walsh College. He also completed the requirements and has earned his Associates in Risk Management from the Insurance School of Chicago.

James R. Collins
Director of Operations - Northeast

Jim joined RSG in 1997 after spending 26 years in various segments of the insurance industry. His career began with The Travelers in 1971 and after 20 years in the Property-Casualty and Corporate Marketing divisions of the field and home office, he left to become the General Manager of a multi-line brokerage firm in New York. He later became a member of the Million Dollar Club for two consecutive years while a Regional Sales Manager for Applied Systems. Immediately prior to joining RSG, Jim was a Regional Vice President for MMI Companies, a professional liability carrier specializing in Medical Malpractice and clinical risk management.
Jim's educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He is a CPCU candidate; and earned a certificate of completion in Agency Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Cindy M. Rogers
Director of Operations - South

Cindy joined RSG in 1995 as an Account Manager. The next 11 years saw her advance through the account management ranks and was promoted to Director of Client Services in the Atlanta branch. Her success continued and earned her the promotion to Director of Operations for the South. Cindy emphasizes that thorough understanding of client business needs will lead to how technology can best be applied to each client's requirements.
Prior to joining RSG, Cindy managed an underwriting unit for Prudential Reinsurance for nine years. She has a Bachelor of Business in Risk Management from the University of Georgia.

John Thurman
Director of Operations - Central-West

John started with RSG in 1988 as a senior programmer and held several technical leadership positions before assuming the role of Director of Operations for the West in 1997. He is currently responsible for RSG's Central-West Region, encompassing service centers in San Francisco, Dallas and Chicago. He supervises all aspects of RSG's business within the region including needs analysis, specifications development, product design, systems development, testing, product implementation, and ongoing system and data support.
Since 1985, John has been involved in developing and maintaining complex information solutions for Fortune 500 companies by combining a technical skill-set with broad experience in risk management, claims, and insurance related data and concepts.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from California State University, and is currently completing the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
